Questions Over the Articles
TPACK:
If we lag so far behind in the integration of technology, what else have we let slip by the wayside as well?
Are schools lacking funding the reason they lack behind in integrating technology?
Does part of the lack of integrating technology come from the resistance of teachers unwilling to change their ways?
If we keep going this way with technology on the rise in classrooms, (meaning the implementation of technology-based classrooms) would an instance such as a power outage throw off teachers? (when we finally switched to laptops we lost power due to a snowstorm, we got to go home early because we had no access to the internet).
Teaching and Technology:
If we begin to focus so much on implementing technology into our classrooms, will we start neglecting social skills as a result?
Will this implementation of technology take away from student's group work in a sense?
Regarding the first paragraph in the technological myths, if we bring up technology without a balance and all the focus is on is just making sure they can use and run technology, will they suffer with communicating in the workforce? Will they struggle to work together as a team to get to a goal?
Net Generation:
Is the lack of educational use due to teachers not wanting to take the time to make a technological lesson plan, or simply because teachers don't feel comfortable enough with the technology to assign it to their students.
Do teachers refrain from assigning technology-based assignments due to the fact of how easy it is to access the internet and find answers?
Have many teachers not used things like blogs, or podcasts, due to the lack of educational ones available; or is it due to the fact teachers are wary of things posted by non-certified people?
Overall:
No article specifies exactly when we should begin a technological push in the classroom for students. Students still need to develop.
Articles addressed the money resources in a broad sense, but I don't remember reading about the detrimental impact it can have on poor families. When we first got laptops in our school, we were required to buy insurance for them. The insurance only covered so much though and certain situations weren't covered and needed to be paid for out of pocket. What happens then?
